Sound Design
field recordings, soundscapes & art by
Daniel Caldeborn
“A picture describes, a sound sets things to life.”
About me
I'm a professional content creator with a deep passion for sound. I've been collecting sounds for many years and have used my recordings in various projects. Other than that, I think I'm a fairly ordinary guy
Field Recordings
Field recordings transport me to diverse and fascinating places, from bustling city streets to tranquil natural landscapes. They allow me to capture the essence of these environments, immersing myself and others in the rich tapestry of our world.
Some of the most interesting sounds can be found in the most quiet places.
Sound Design
Sound design is the invisible storyteller of the audiovisual world. Whether in film, video games, theater, or even in everyday life, sound has the power to enhance, complement, and sometimes even carry the narrative forward. The subtlety and complexity of soundscapes can evoke emotions, build tension, or transport you to different worlds, all without uttering a single word.
This is a piece that I have done for Robin Eriksson Fransén and his project Deep Root. A talented timelapse photographer and a dear friend.
Sound art is a captivating and multifaceted medium
that has the power to stir emotions, provoke thoughts, and transport us to new places. I work with sounds across various media. I have organized exhibitions in 360-degree binaural environments (VR), collaborated on art projects with painted pictures, and designed soundscapes for rooms in other exhibitions.
List of exhibitions i have held
Soundscapes of the North - Norrbottens museum, Luleå 2021
Solitude - Haparator 2021, Haparanda
Solitude 2.0 - Resonans 2022, Piteå
ART
In 2021, I had the privilege of collaborating with the talented Åsa Wiksten for the 'Solitude' exhibition in Haparanda. Together, we pushed the boundaries of sound and paintings, creating an exhibition that showcased the sheer fascination of this unique art form.
